Here is a vintage Alexander Backer chalkware Filipina woman head. Chalkware, made from plaster of Paris, was sold in the nineteenth century as inexpensive decorations. This Alexander Backer lady head measures about 6 inches tall. This vintage chalkware head is marked “© Alexander Backer” on back. Circa 1940′s.
