A small cork was used as a plug on the bottom of these vintage shakers. The bottom of these vintage Chef and Mammy salt and pepper shakers are stamped “Japan” in red on the bottom. These vintage salt and pepper shakers are highly collectible, especially in the Black Americana genre.

Here’s a vintage John F. Kennedy salt and pepper shaker. Former US President JFK is sitting on a rocking chair that reads “JFK”. The bottom this vintage JFK salt and pepper shaker reads “©Arrow 1962, N.Y.C., Japan”. This two piece vintage JFK salt and pepper shaker measures about 4 inches tall and 2 inches wide. There is a minor crack on JFK’s rocking chair (please see photo). There is crazing throughout which is normal for glazed ceramics of this age. The cork plugs are original and fragile and it is advised that these not be removed to avoid destroying. Decorative use only is advised!

Here’s a vintage Lazy Susan serving tray. The bowl, with removable lid, measures about 6.5 inches in diameter and about 2 inches tall. The 4 serving trays that surround the bowl measures about 9.5 inches at their longest point and about 3 inches wide. This vintage Lazy Susan has an iridescent pearl like color and shine. Bowl and serving trays are marked “254 © Cal. Style U.S.A” and the lid for the bowl is marked “254 U.S.A.” underneath.
